Wrist Stretches

Wrist Stretches

What it works:

  • When we fall, we oftentimes land on our hands

  • This stretch helps prevent wrist injuries

Who its for:

  • Everyone on the slopes especially adults

  • Snowboarders (snowboarders don't have ski poles to hold onto so we tend to land on our butts and hands)

Pros:

  • Very good for the wrists

Cons:

  • Can take several weeks to start getting enough benefits to prevent injuries. Sometimes takes longer, even months

What it does:

  • Keeps injuries at bay so we can keep Snowboarding

How to do it:

  • As per GIF

  • Should be a medium-gentle stretch: never force it.

  • Hold for 2 to 3 minutes, 2 to 3 times per week

  • Deepen the stretch by shifting our butt towards the feet and lighten the stretch by shifting the hips forward

q. What stretches to do before snowboarding?

  1. This wrist stretch can help prevent a lot of snowboarding and skiing falling injuries.
